Support for Young People

We genuinely value the contributions our young people make to the Harness Industry. There is no lip service with us only tangible support. We understand that there are not always a lot of incentives to pursue a career in Harness Racing so we have decided to do our share to fill the breach.

Business development

This year we made some $20k available in business grants to over 20 young people in or entering the Harness Racing Industry. The business grants given to young people included enabling them to purchase discounted stallion services, acquire yearlings at Sales, buy gear and equipment and fund their attendance at relevant training courses.

Celebrity Speaking

We know the talents of many of our young licensees. Many hold academic qualifications, profiles and experiences well suited to the celebrity speaking circuit. We are happy to access interested young person’s exposure to this business area.

Business Opportunity

We profile young people in our flagship magazine Harness Talk. More than that we give young people the opportunity to write articles for our magazine.  Currently one of young writers is hoping to pursue a career in journalism in parallel to harness racing and is using her contributions to Harness Talk to obtain experience in professional writing.

Human Resource Management

We are skilled in professional writing and provide services to the young people in job applications, CVS and resumes and much more.
